Scientists Unveil Mona Lisa Secrets
Megan Shannon - All Headline News Staff Writer Ottawa, Canada (AHN) - Scientists claim they have uncovered some of the mystery behind the Mona Lisa painting. Now they plan to unveil their findings Tuesday in Ottawa. Using 3D imaging scientists from Canada's National Research Council said they discovered some of Leonardo DiVinci's painting secrets, including "sfumoto," a method used by the artist to create empty space. The technique adds an air of mystery to the painting that has been baffling admirers for centuries. DiVinci painted the Mona Lisa in 1503-06. It was moved to the Louvre in Pris after the French Revolution where it remains today. The NRC said the painting was not harmed in anyway to collect the data and now admirers can have the closest look ever imagined at the painting.
