First Violent Incident Reported In Thailand After Coup
Som Patidar - All Headline News Staff Writer Bangkok, Thailand (AHN) - At least four policemen were injured in a powerful bomb explosion in the southern province of Pattani on Saturday. It was the first violent incident reported after the military coup in the leadership of Army Chief Sonthi Boonyaratkalin. On Tuesday, Sonthi Boonyaratkalin overthrew the caretaker government of ousted Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and implemented marshal law throughout the country. He also promised an election to retain democratic government in Thailand.
