Israeli Youth Wounded In Rocket Attack
Ryan R. Jones - All Headline News Middle East Correspondent Jerusalem(AHN) - An Israeli youth was moderately wounded Wednesday morning when a rocket fired by Gaza-based Palestinian terrorists slammed into the southern Israel village of Kibbutz Erez. The 15-year-old boy was pierced in the chest by shrapnel when the Kassam-class rocket scored a direct hit on the community's greenhouse. Army Radio later identified him as a Bedouin Arab from the nearby town of Rahat who worked at Kibbutz Erez. Another woman was treated for shock following the attack. A second rocket fired a short time later failed to cause any injuries or damage. Ha'aretz later reported that the Israel Defense Forces had managed to kill one militant and wound a second when they returned to collect the rocket launchers used in the early morning attack. Palestinian terrorists operating out of the Gaza Strip continue to fire several rockets into Israel every morning. Most land harmlessly in open areas adjacent to the targeted communities.
