North Korea Charges South Korea Of Increasing Military Capabilities
Josephine Roque - All Headline News Staff Writer Seoul, South Korea (AHN) - North Korea charged the South on their mounting efforts to boost military capabilities, claiming that it was in preparations for attacking the communist state along with the U.S. The North's Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland made the claims that the South is developing new weapons against them, and all the while holding joint drills with the United States. "We won't ever sit idly by while bellicose forces in the South's military are stepping up preparations for a northward invasion and will give a stern response," the committee revealed in a statement, "What the warlike forces in the South's military will face is only a self-ruin and a stern verdict of history." North Korea has been known to accuse the South of plotting invasion against it, especially when the South and the U.S. hold joint exercises. South Korea has been working on its military power to retake wartime operational control of its military.
