Hezbollah Chief Says Blair Participated In War
Joseph S. Mayton - All Headline News Middle East Correspondent Cairo, Egypt (AHN) - Hezbollah said that British Prime Minister Tony Blair participated in the killing of Lebanese during the 34-day war between the militant organization and Israel that ended August 14. Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah told Al Jazeera on Tuesday that Blair was responsible because he had not done enough. "This Tony Blair is an associate in the murdering," Nasrallah said on Al Jazeera. He also criticized Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora for welcoming the British PM in Beirut on Monday. "You bring him home to me and to my family and you give a great reception?" Nasrallah continued. "If there was an invitation made for Tony Blair to visit then this is a national disaster," Nasrallah added. "Our analysis is that there are attempts to humiliate to harm, back-stab and provoke," the Hezbollah chief said. Hundreds of Lebanese protested the British Prime Minister's visit to Lebanon. They accused him of supporting Israel's war with Hezbollah guerrillas.
