Palestinians May Be Planning Holiday Terror
Ryan R. Jones - All Headline News Middle East Correspondent Jerusalem, Israel (AHN) - A Palestinian terrorist confirmed in remarks published Tuesday that militant groups plan to unleash a fresh wave of terrorism against Israel during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Ramadan begins on September 23, and coincides this year with the autumn series of Jewish holidays, including Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot. During that time, Islamic Jihad operative Khaled al-Batch told The Galil Report that his and other Palestinian terror groups intend to "turn the Israelis lives into a living hell." According to the report, Islamic Jihad is working closely with Fatah's Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade to coordinate the escalation in violence. Israeli security officials say the groups have been ordered by Tehran to increase suicide bombings and shooting attacks to divert international attention from Iran's nuclear program. Over the past month Israeli security forces have been cracking down on Islamic Jihad and Al Aqsa, particularly in the northern West Bank terrorist stronghold of Jenin.
