Train Accident In Egypt Kills 5, Injures 30
Yvonne Lee - All Headline News Staff Reporter (AHN) - A passenger train crashes into a cargo train in Egypt, killing at least five people and injuring about 30 others. The cause of the crash near the town of Shibin al-Qanater, north of Cairo, is unknown. Media reports say one of the trains failed to stop at a signal outside the train station. Both trains were coming from the Nile Delta and traveling toward Cairo. Many passengers commuting to work in the capital city were on the train. One train was on fire, while carriages were overturned and derailed. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. Two weeks ago, another commuter train crash in the same area killed 58 people. It was the country's worst train accident in four years.
