Insurgents Blast Gas Pipeline In Southwest Pakistan
Josephine Roque - All Headline News Staff Writer Quetta, Pakistan (AHN) - Rebels have blasted a natural gas pipeline in the southwestern Pakistani province of Baluchistan, resulting in halted supply to a main gas plant. No casualties were reported. The damaged pipeline links a well to the main gas plant in the town of Sui. Last Sunday, rebels also attacked another pipeline that affected gas supply to thousands of homes in Mastung and Qalat districts. The attacks result from unrest over the recent death of rebel chieftain Nawab Akbar Bugti. The killing of the veteran Baluch nationalist had started nationwide protests and violence in the province.
