Briton Killed, Six Others Injured In Jordan Attack
Komfie Manalo - All Headline News Foreign Correspondent Amman, Jordan (AHN) - A British national was killed and six others were wounded when a lone gunman fired at a group of tourists and their guide at a Roman Amphitheater in Amman, Jordan on Monday. The state's Petra news agency says the British male was killed instantly in the popular tourist destination in the capital's busy central district. Officials from the foreign ministry and the public security department says that of the six wounded three were British, one was a Dutch national, one was from New Zealand, and the last man was a Jordanian tour guide. Security forces immediately arrested the gunman, however, earlier reports said there were two gunmen including an Iraqi national. Security was tight in the Jordanian capital after the attack as investigation was underway to determine the motive of the shooting.
