Hong Kong Disneyland Fires Four Dancers For Sexual Antics
Shaveta Bansal - All Headline News Staff Writer Hong Kong (AHN) - Hong Kong Disneyland on Monday confirmed that it has fired four of its male dancers after they were caught on camera performing sexual antics. The theme-park said the video containing "acts of a sexually indecent nature" was seen by some 20 other employees on Aug 4. The four dancers, aged 22 to 35, were sacked for gross misconduct and sexual harassment of other employees, Disneyland's vice president for public affairs Lo Bing-chung confirmed in a statement Monday. The video reportedly showed the scene of dressing room after a parade in which one of the dancers was having his towel forcibly removed and other actions mimicking gay sexual activity. The frolic was videotaped by one of the witnesses by using his personal camera. However, the dancers claim that their antics were no more than "horseplay" and are taking legal action against the resort for the unfair dismissal. One of the four, a 23-year-old who gave his name as Mark in a telephone interview with DPA accused Disney of double standards by banning the use of videos in dressing rooms but then using video evidence to justify the dismissals. "We were treated like animals, like dogs," said Mark, claiming that he was the victim in the incident when the three other dancers ganged up on him and grabbed his towel from him as he changed. "Guys often do that in a changing room," he said adding t |
