NATO, Afghan Operation Kills 20 Taliban Insurgents
Som Patidar - All Headline News Staff Writer Kabul, Afghanistan (AHN) - Nearly 20 Taliban insurgents have been killed in a NATO-led forces and Afghan troop's operation in southern part of Afghanistan. The operation, called Medusa, kicked off in southern Kandahar province on Saturday. Major Luke Knittig, spokesman of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), confirms Sunday, "We all see signs that our troop presence in the area is doing just that with more than 20 insurgents killed there in recent action." He, however, said the operation, involving 2,000 Afghan and ISAF troops, will continue for sometime.
