Palestinian Militant Group Threatens Non-Muslims

Cairo, Egypt (AHN) - Palestinian militants who held two Fox news journalists hostage for nearly two weeks before setting them free are threatening to abduct non-Muslims visiting Palestine and kill them.

The militants posted a statement on a Web site frequently used by militants that they would kill any hostages unless they converted to Islam, paid a ransom or Muslim prisoners were exchanged for their release.

Muslim clerics have issued several assurances in the past that non-Muslims who get a visa from an Islamic country has a guarantee of safety. A recent edict states that protection also carries over to Israelis despite anger over Israeli military action in Gaza and Lebanon.
