US-Pak Naval Exercise To Begin Sept. 6
Siddique Islam - All Headline News Foreign Correspondent Islamabad, Pakistan (AHN) - The United States and Pakistan Navy will conduct a joint exercise titled "Inspired Union 06" on September 6. The bilateral exercise will be conducted in the Northern Arabian Sea, reports a local newspaper. The purpose of exercise is to advance maritime interdiction operations, counter terrorism and a wide range of professional exercises. The exercise will be conducted in three phases, the Dawn reported on Saturday. The units participating in the exercise from US Navy are USS Nicholas, USS Mcfaul, USS Albuquerque, and US Aircraft carrier Enterprise and from Pakistan Navy: PNS Shahjahan, PNS Badar, PNS Moawin and PNS M Saad. Special service forces from both sides will also participate in the exercise.
