Sharon's Condition Improves
Ryan R. Jones - All Headline News Middle East Correspondent Jerusalem, Israel (AHN) - Doctors at Tel Aviv's Sheba Medical Center announced on Tuesday that they had successfully treated comatose former leader Ariel Sharon for double pneumonia and had moved him out of intensive care. Sharon's condition severely deteriorated two weeks ago. A CT scan at the time showed infections in both of his lungs and an MRI indicated decreasing brain activity. He is now back in Sheba's respiratory rehabilitation unit after responding positively to a treatment of heavy antibiotics. Sharon, 78, has been in a coma since suffering a massive brain hemorrhage on January 4.
