Indian Flood Claims 8 More Lives; Death Toll Reaches 93
Som Patidar - All Headline News Staff Writer Jaipur, India (AHN) - On Sunday, rescue workers have recovered eight more bodies in the flooded Barmer district of the Indian state of Rajasthan as the death toll reaches 93. Local administrative officials feared the death toll could reach as high as 300 due to continuous monsoon rain. An official told PTI that; "Navy divers and army troops had been called in to rescue around 200 people who had taken shelter atop houses." Hundreds of people are still missing or feared dead in Barmer and Jaisalmer districts of the Indian desert state.
