UN: Lebanon Suffered Around $3.6 Billion Damage
Som Patidar - All Headline News Staff Writer New York, NY (AHN) - Talking with media, United Nations spokesman Stephane Dujarric informed Friday that Lebanon has suffered and estimated $3.6 billion in physical damage, including homes and to the country's infrastructure. He further said, the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reports that the fighting between Hezbollah and Israel in Lebanon damaged or destroyed around 30,000 homes. Informing of more UN aid to South Lebanon, he also said that the World Food Program has provided more than 3,000 tons of food.
