US Delegation Arrives In Nepal To Assess Development Works
Siddique Islam - All Headline News Foreign Correspondent Kathmandu, Nepal (AHN) - A four-member delegation from the U.S. House of Representatives arrived in Nepal on Friday morning for a four-day visit. According to reports, the delegation met Deputy Primer Minister and Foreign Minister of Nepal K. P. Oli at the foreign ministry in the capital on Friday afternoon. During the visit, the U.S. lawmaker's team will assess the situation of development works in the country in the new political circumstances. The delegation will also visit U.S. funded development projects, refugees, and security assistance programs in Nepal. Jim Kolbe, chairman of the House Appropriations Committee's Subcommittee on Foreign Operations, Export Financing and Related Programs, leads the delegation. Other members are: Ander Crenshaw, Fred Uptonand and Brian Baird. The delegation is scheduled to meet with ministers, government officials, political parties, civil society leaders, non-governmental organizations and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
