According to hospital officials, the West Bank leader of Islamic Jihad's militant wing, Hossam Jaradat, was shot in the Jenin refugee camp. However, Islamic Jihad says they are uncertain whether Israel was responsible for the shooting. The Israeli army says it is investigating the report. Meanwhile, an Israeli tank fires a shell at two men approaching the border in the town of Abasan, in the Gaza Strip. Rescue crews found an Islamic Jihad militant who was injured in the area. The Israeli army says soldiers fired a tank shell at two suspicious men who were crawling toward the border post.
