Israeli Arab Charged As Hezbollah Spy
Ryan R. Jones - All Headline News Middle East Correspondent Jerusalem (AHN) - An Arab resident of the northern border town of Ghajar was indicted Wednesday on charges of aiding Hezbollah in its July 12 assault on the Jewish state. That attack led to 34 days of brutal fighting that saw hundreds killed and millions displaced on both sides of the border. The Jerusalem Post reported that Israeli security officials arrested Mahmoud Hattib three weeks ago after being informed that he had passed intelligence information regarding the army's movement and routines in the area to a Hezbollah agent. Earlier in the month another Israeli Arab from the Bedouin village of Beit Zarzir was charged providing Hezbollah with information regarding Israeli troop movements and the landing locations of rockets the terror group was firing into northern Israel. Riyad Mazariv passed the information through a Hezbollah-affiliated Lebanese drug trafficker who promised to help him smuggle large quantities of heroine through Ghajar, which straddles the international border.
