Israeli Air Strike Destroys The Home Of A Militant
Yvonne Lee - All Headline News Staff Reporter Gaza City, Gaza Strip (AHN) - An Israeli air strike in the Gaza Strip destroys the home of a militant belonging to Islamic Jihad. The Associated Press identifies the militant as Hashem Asliya. His son apparently broke his leg while jumping out of the house to escape the missile strike. Medical officials say two people were slightly injured in the attack, but no one was killed. The Israeli military warned the militant that his house was going to be targeted. They accused Asliya of storing weapons there. Israel has been conducting operations in Gaza since Palestinian militants abducted an Israeli soldier on June 25. Dozens of missile attacks and ground assaults have killed nearly 200 Palestinians since then.
