Israel Says It Killed 530 Hezbollah Terrorists

Jerusalem, Israel (AHN) - Israel's military released a statement Monday estimating that its forces killed at least 530 Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon over the past month.

It said that leaflets were distributed across Lebanon with the names of 180 dead "terrorists that have been identified with certainty by the forces."

If the figures proves accurate, they would seem to contradict assertions that the vast majority of Lebanon's 1,000 dead in this war were civilians.

Hezbollah admits to losing only a few dozen of its men during the fighting.
