Israelis Told Not To Return North Yet
Ryan R. Jones - All Headline News Correspondent Jerusalem, Israel (AHN) - Residents of northern Israel were warned by Home Front Command to remain in bomb shelters or refrain from returning from other parts of the country despite the approval of a UN ceasefire resolution. Speaking to Ynet, Home Front Command official Colonel Yehiel Kuperstein reminded northerners that "it isn't over until it's over," citing a massive Hezbollah rocket barrage just minutes before a ceasefire officially went into effect ten years earlier. Said Kuperstein, "It's obvious that after more than 30 days in the war there's a desire to go back to routine, but we ask for a little more patience so that nobody is hurt at the last moment." Hezbollah has signaled its readiness to abide by the ceasefire, but continued to rain down rockets on northern Israel Sunday. One person was killed and 14 others were wounded as more than 150 rockets slammed into communities across the Galilee region.
