Israel Calls On Hezbollah To Surrender

Jones - All Headline News Correspondent Jerusalem, Israel (AHN) - An Israeli Arabic-language radio broadcast into southern Lebanon Saturday called on all Hezbollah members there to lay down their arms and surrender to advancing Israeli forces, Israel's Channel Two News reported. In compliance with a UN ceasefire resolution, the radio broadcast instructed Hezbollah fighters to raise white flags over their houses and collect all weapons into common areas. Hezbollah, meanwhile, was busy with a weekend series of broadcasts on its Al-Manar TV declaring "victory" in its fight with Israel. Under banners such as "We won!" and "We have defeated the invincible army," the broadcasts asserted Israel had failed to achieve any of its military goals in Lebanon.
