Saomi Kills 104 In China
Som Patidar - All Headline News Staff Writer Beijing, China (AHN) - Typhoon Saomai, the most powerful typhoon to hit China in the last 50 years, killed at least 104 people on Friday. Another 190 people were missing after the super typhoon stroked coasts in the southeastern parts of the country. It affected 4 million people, destroyed more than 50,000 houses and caused extensive damage in Zhejiang and Fujian provinces, official Xinhua News Agency reported. Saomai was the eighth major storm that hit China this year. Before Saomai, typhoon Bilis killed more than 600 people in the country.
