Boat Capsizing Kills Six In Bangladesh
Siddique Islam - All Headline News Foreign Correspondent Dhaka, Bangladesh (AHN) - Six people, including three members of a family, drowned when an engine boat capsized in a `haor' (water body) in Sunamganj district of Bangladesh on Wednesday night, a local news agency reported. Quoting local sources, the United News of Bangladesh (UNB) reported the trawler, with 11 passengers on board, sailed for Naigang village in Sadar upazila of Sunamganj from Ambari Bazar of Doarabazar upazila at about 7 p.m., local time. But the boat capsized in Kanlar Haor caught by strong wind on the midway. Five passengers swam ashore while six others remained missing until Thursday morning. Later, the bodies of the missing people found floating in the haor were recovered in the afternoon.
