Israeli Bedouin Charged With Aiding Hezbollah
Ryan R. Jones - All Headline News Correspondent Jerusalem, Israel (AHN) - An Israeli Arab was officially charged Thursday with spying for Hezbollah during a time of war. Riyad Mzarib, 30, a resident of the Bedouin village of Beit Zarzir in the Lower Galilee, was arrested on July 21. Israel Radio reported that Mzarib is suspected of having provided Hezbollah with information regarding Israeli troops movements and the impact locations of missiles fired into northern Israel. Hezbollah's missiles are unguided, and therefore the terrorists rely on specific information regarding where they land in order to adjust their targeting. In return for his aid, Hezbollah promised to assist Mzarib in trafficking large quantities of drugs across the Lebanese border. Under Syrian occupation, Lebanon's Bekaa Valley was one of the world's largest heroin and cocaine producing centers.
