Report: Hezbollah Fires Over 3,000 Rockets
Ryan R. Jones - All Headline News Correspondent Jerusalem, Israel (AHN) - Hezbollah has fired over 3,300 rockets at northern Israel since July 12, with the daily average rising to more than 150 over the past week. The attacks have been carried out using short-range Katyusha rockets, as well as Iranian-made medium and long-range Fajr missiles. Israel believes Hezbollah is also in possession of long-range Zelzal missiles that are capable of striking nearly every part of the Jewish state. To date the furthest south Hezbollah has attacked is the coastal city of Hadera, which lies less than 25 miles north of Tel Aviv. Hezbollah chief Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah has repeatedly threatened to escalate the conflict by hitting Greater Tel Aviv, Israel's most densely populated area. Israel is demanding that any political solution to the current crisis deal decisively with Hezbollah's ability to attack northern Israel.
