Sharansky: The World Needs Israel To Defeat Hezbollah

Jones - All Headline News Correspondent Jerusalem, Israel (AHN) - Senior Israeli politician and former Soviet refusenik Natan Sharansky says the fate of the Jewish state and the Western democratic world rests on the outcome of Israel's war with Hezbollah. In an interview with NewsMax, Sharansky said, "If Israel will not defeat [Hezbollah], the free world will be doomed. ...Hezbollah is Iran's first line of attack against the world, not just Israel." He warned that the terror group's operatives are already active in Western Europe and the United States, a fact American lawmakers and security officials are now coming to grips with. Sharansky stressed that the current Middle East crisis is just a "test case," and if Israel does not emerge victorious, Iran will be emboldened to further use its proxies to seek the demise of Israel and its enemies around the world. Only next time, the terrorists may be equipped with nuclear weapons, the Israeli cautioned.
