Dhaka To Send Letter To UNSC Members With Call For Cease-Fire In Lebanon
Siddique Islam - All Headline News Foreign Correspondent Dhaka, Bangladesh (AHN) - Bangladesh is going to send a letter in a day or two to the five permanent members of the UN Security Council Members (UNSC) with a clarion call for immediate and unconditional cease-fire in Lebanon. "We are not taking the matter so lightly. What Israel is doing is a heinous act and this is not acceptable at all," Foreign Minister of Bangladesh M Morshed Khan says while addressing at a press conference in Dhaka on Sunday. The foreign minister also adds the draft of the letter has already been prepared and Prime Minister of Bangladesh Khaleda Zia will sign the letter before dispatching. Despite many people's negative opinion about the relevance of the UN, he says Bangladesh still believe that UN is the only place where all could put their hands together to find solution to problems. Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia last week attended the extraordinary Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) Summit in Malaysia where she said that the Israeli attack would surely add radicalism to the Muslim world, and Bangladesh strongly believes in tolerance and moderation, but if the aggression continues, radical elements will get upper hand.
