Palestinians Celebrate Israeli Losses
Ryan R. Jones - All Headline News Correspondent Jerusalem, Israel (AHN) - Palestinian residents of the West Bank town of Nablus erupted in celebration Sunday after learning of the deaths of 10 Israeli soldiers in a Hezbollah missile strike on northern Israel. It was the single largest loss of life in a Hezbollah attack on Israeli soil since the start of the current crisis more than three weeks ago. The casualties were all Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reservists gathered at a staging point in the Galilee Panhandle. According to Israel's Ynet, dozens of vehicles set off in a celebratory procession through the center of Nablus after seeing the scenes of carnage on local television. Many others fired rifles in the air, handed out fruits and candies, and set off fireworks in celebration. Public calls for Hezbollah chief Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah to continue striking Israel were also heard.
