False Bomb Scare At Israeli PM's Office
Ryan R. Jones - All Headline News Correspondent Jerusalem, Israel (AHN) - The office of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was briefly evacuated Sunday afternoon on suspicion a bomb had been smuggled into the building. An x-ray machine scanning the bags of visiting foreign journalists arriving for a press briefing by the Israeli leader picked up what appeared to be an explosive device among the belongings of a BBC reporter, according to the SMS Israel news service. Police sappers later determined the device did not pose a threat and the alert was canceled.
