Nicole King - All Headline News Staff Writer Havana, Cuba (AHN) - Leadership in Cuba is reassuring residents that Fidel Castro's brother, Raul Castro, is in firm control of the country and that the government is operating normally. They also reassured residents that Fidel Castro is recovering nicely from his surgery. The government also issued a decree condemning the Israeli bombing of Lebanon and called for an immediate cease-fire. The Communist Party launched a campaign playing up 75-year-old Raul's revolutionary roots and loyalty to his older brother. The campaign also stressed that the revolution would continue throughout Fidel's recovery. The campaign also rejected President Bush's recent call for democracy on the island, saying there's no uncertainty as the President had mentioned.
