152 Rebels Killed In Sri Lanka
Som Patidar - All Headline News Staff Writer Colombo, Sri Lanka (AHN) - At least 152 Tamil rebels were killed in air attacks by Sri Lankan air force in northeastern region of the island. Upali Rajapakse, military spokesman confirmed Friday that, "We have an estimated 152 Tigers killed and 124 injured, mainly in the air attacks carried at their key base of Foul Point." In a statement, the Sri Lankan defense ministry has said, "Naval troops, who were vigilant and expecting the failing attempt of Tamil Tigers, managed to identify the wave of assault from all corners." It also cleared the attack was the final confrontation with the guerillas in clashes which erupted on Wednesday.
