Wife Of Abducted Soldier Asks For Help From Hezbollah Wives
Nidhi Sharma - All Headline News Staff Writer New York, NY (AHN) - In a touching press conference, the wife of a kidnapped Israel Defense Forces soldier Ehud Goldwasser issued a public appeal Thursday to the spouses of Hezbollah fighters asking then to to help her trace the whereabouts of her husband.The AP quotes Karnit Goldwasser as saying, "I am asking, as a wife to a Hezbollah wife, that she can help me to get the message from my husband to me - as a wife to a wife," Goldwasser, 30, held a news conference at the Israeli Consulate in Manhattan to say that she is convinced her husband is alive and in Lebanon. Her husband, Ehud Goldwasser, 31, was kidnapped along with Eldad Regev in the July 12 cross-border raid by Hezbollah that lead to the current conflict. Karnit Goldwasser along with her husband's parents met the members of Congress in New York to appeal them to include a clause mentioning the three kidnapped IDF soldiers - Goldwasser, Regev and Gilad Shalit (who is being held by Hamas) in any prospective United Nations resolution on a cease-fire. Goldwasser, is an environmental engineer like her husband. She is currently in New York on a five-stop tour of the United States that includes Washington D.C, New Jersey, Chicago and Los Angeles sponsored by the United Jewish Communities.
