10 People Injured In Grenade Attack On Bus In Kashmir
Jacob Cherian - All Headline News Staff Writer Srinagar, Kashmir (AHN) - At least ten people, including seven Amarnath (sacred shrine) pilgrims were injured when militants hurled a grenade on a bus as it was preparing to head off for the Baltal base camp from Srinagar on Monday. The militants threw the explosive at the crowded bus at Batmaloo around 3 p.m. local time, minutes before departure to the base camp. Seven devotees and three pedestrians were injured. Official sources said 25 pilgrims who had made reservations were boarding the bus when the attack took place. The injured were taken to the hospital. Security forces, assisted by police, sealed off the area and began their search for the militants.
