Pro-Lebanon Protestors Attack Australian PM's Car
Som Patidar - All Headline News Staff Writer Canberra, Australia (AHN) - On Saturday, the pro-Lebanon protestors became violent while protesting against Israeli attacks on Lebanon, and attacked the Australian Prime Minister's car condemning his support for Israel. Australian Prime Minister John Howard was leaving a party conference in Perth, western Australian city, when nearly two hundred pro-Lebanon protestors broke through a police cordon and mobbed his car. The protestors kicked police and threw projectiles at the car. Police arrested the two protestors. Protestors blamed Mr. Howard for supporting Israel. Mr. Howard has blamed Hezbollah for the current Middle East crises and has defended the Israeli attacks on Lebanon. Praising Hezbollah, one protestor, said: "Hezbollah is protecting Lebanon, they are freedom fighters, not terrorists."
