Update: Eight Bodies Found In Southern Lebanon
Som Patidar - All Headline News Staff Writer Tyre, Lebanon (AHN) - A Lebanese official informed Saturday that bodies of eight civilians, including a couple and their three children, were found in a car in Southern Lebanon after an Israeli bombardment on the region. A Lebanese defense official told AFP, "we retrieved from a destroyed car the bodies of a man, his wife and their three children who were killed three days ago on the Maarub-Dardghia road, near the southern port city of Tyre." On Saturday, United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice leaves for the Middle East with a new proposal. On the other hand, Israel rejected the United Nation's call for a 72-hour ceasefire in Lebanon. Nearly 600 Lebanese civilians and over 50 Israelis including 18 civilians have also been killed in the conflict which erupted on July 12.
