Israel Targeting Hezbollah Social Network
Ryan R. Jones - All Headline News Correspondent (AHN) - In addition to degrading Hezbollah as a fighting force, Israel is looking to eliminate the social network that has made the organization popular enough among the Lebanese to recruit a standing army of thousands and win 23 seats in parliament. Among the targets hit by Israel over the past two weeks are an orphanage, a seminary, a school, and loan and charity offices, all operated by the Shiite terror group. The AP reports that no one was killed in the attacks on these structures. Israel usually strikes such targets during the pre-dawn hours when they are unoccupied. Following the Hezbollah model, Hamas too operates a broad social network that has won it the hearts and minds of many Palestinians, culminating in its overwhelming victory in January's Palestinian Authority elections.
