Saudi Arabia Urges All To Help Lebanon, Palestine
Siddique Islam - All Headline News Foreign Correspondent Dhaka, Bangladesh (AHN) - Saudi Arabia has urged all Arabs, Islamic nations and countries around the world to extend effective and tangible assistance to Lebanon and Palestine rather than statements of condemnation and denunciation. Launching a popular fund raising campaign for reconstruction of Lebanon and Palestine, the Saudi King and custodians of two Holy Mosques were pleased to contribute $ 500 million to form the nucleus of an Arab-International fund. He has also directed that an amount of $1.0 billion to be deposited with the Lebanese Central Bank. A press statement of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia says in Dhaka on Wednesday the King also ordered allocation of a $ 250 million grant for the Palestinian people as a nucleus for an Arab-International fund for the reconstruction of Palestine.
