Indonesian Earthquake Doesn't Form Tsunami
Nicole King - All Headline News Staff Writer Jakarta, Indonesia (AHN) - An earthquake off the Indonesian coast Sunday did not cause a tsunami. The 6.1-magnitude quake struck just off the Sulawesi Island, about 67 miles south of Gorontalo. Officials originally said the earthquake did have the power to cause a tsunami. One governor on the island ordered an evacuation for residents on the coast. Shaking was reported across parts of Sualwesi, but so far there are no reports of damages or injuries.
