Businessman Alleges Thai Prime Minister Committed Perjury
Josephine Roque - All Headline News Staff Writer Bangkok, Thailand (AHN) - An American businessman alleges Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra committed perjury during a previous court hearing. The criminal charges was filed at the South Bangkok Criminal Court that concerns a business deal made in the late 1980s. William L. Monson claims Thaksin breached an agreement to mutually operate a cable television enterprise. Thaksin also allegedly claimed transmission equipment from Monson and imposed false criminal charges against his company and staff. Several lawsuits have been filed by both parties against each other in Thailand and the United States.
