Taiwanese Nationals Arrested In Philippine Drug Bust
Josephine Roque - All Headline News Staff Writer Manila (AHN) -Philippine police raided a warehouse and arrested five Taiwanese nationals allegedly producing huge amounts of drugs. If found guilty, drug trafficking is punishable by death. According to police investigation chief director Jesus Versola, Chun Hao Tsai, 41, Harry Fe, 36, Weng Chih Chung, 31, Wu Sheng Chin, 43 and Chen Lu, 54 were detained after police invaded the site in southern Manila. Hidden inside the compound were freezers, equipment and Ephedrine, a chemical used in manufacturing methamphetamine hydrochloride or "ice." The arrests were made by a informant tipoff that shabu (local slang for ice) was scheduled to be brought to central Luzon via Paranaque in Metro Manila.
