Heavy Monsoon Rains Leave Dozens Dead Or Missing In S. Korea
Som Patidar - All Headline News Staff Writer Seoul, South Korea (AHN) - At least 29 people were dead or missing in South Korea after heavy monsoon rains pounded the eastern part of the country on Sunday. An official with South Korea's National Emergency Management Agency told to a news agency that torrential rains since Friday have left nearly 12 people killed in landslides and 17 missing in flash floods. More than 2,000 people remained homeless Sunday after three days of the heavy downpours had flooded homes in an eastern province of the country. Expecting heavier downpours until Thursday (July 20), the meteorologists warned of more critical conditions in the eastern province.
