Israeli Jets Struck Hezbollah Offices
Komfie Manalo - All Headline News Foreign Correspondent Jerusalem (AHN) - Several offices of Hezbollah militants including the suspected home of Sheik Hassan Nasrallah were bombed by Israeli jets in a third day of air strikes which could further fuel the already tense situation in the region. Prior to the air strikes, reports surfaced that Israeli planes dropped leaflets warning civilians to stay away from the offices of Hezbollah located in the southern Beirut where Nasrallah is believed to be held up. Lebanese officials said the bombs hit the southern stronghold of the Hezbollah. Earlier, Israeli artilleries and war planes hit the main highway linking Beirut and Damascus. The land, sea and air attacks were authorized by the Israeli government after alleged Hezbolla fighters fired dozens of Soviet-era Katyusha rockets into the northern post city of Haifa. However Hezbollah denied firing the rockets and said they will not attack Haira, a Christian town, saying they will hit civilian targets in their fight against the Israeli army.
