Israeli Bomb Destroys Palestinian Foreign Ministry Building
Yvonne Lee - All Headline News Staff Reporter Gaza City, Gaza Strip (AHN) - The Palestinian Foreign Ministry building was decimated when a bomb is dropped by an Israeli warplane. Palestinian foreign minister Mahmoud Zahar, a Hamas leader, says the building in Gaza City collapsed and caused widespread destruction in the surrounding area. Three people in other buildings were injured in the bombing. It is not clear whether anyone was in the ministry at the time of the strike. Israel's military confirmed it targeted the foreign ministry, saying it is "led by Hamas." The third and fourth floors of the ministry building were destroyed, and neighboring houses as well as cars were seriously damaged by the blast. Israel has been attacking Gaza targets following a raid by militants linked to Hamas. Two Israeli soldiers were killed in the raid, and a third captured. A day prior to the ministry bombing, Israeli planes dropped a quarter-ton bomb on a home where Hamas commanders were meeting. Nine members of one family were killed.
