Bangladesh Issues National Red Alert After Mumbai Blasts
Siddique Islam - All Headline News Foreign Correspondent Dhaka, Bangladesh (AHN) - Bangladesh government issued a countrywide red alert on Wednesday following serial bomb blasts in Indian financial capital of Mumbai on Tuesday killing 190 people and injuring over 250 others. State Minister for Home Affairs of Bangladesh, Lutfozzaman Babar, told reporters in the capital that the law and order agencies have been put on highest alert. The security forces were also asked to strengthen security measures at all the important establishments in the country. "There is no intelligence warning about any possible assault like that of Mumbai. But, we took cautionary measures." Mr. Babar adds, "Such cowardly attacks in our neighboring country is a matter of our great concern and we should take all possible measures to ward of such attack."
