He described the launches of series of missiles by his nation as a part of 'routine military exercises' for increasing the nation's self defense power. In a article written by Jae in an Australian newspaper, he said: "North Korea will have no option but to take stronger physical actions of other forms, should any country dare take issue with the exercise and put pressure upon it." Japan, with the United States support, has proposed a United Nation Security Council resolution calling for sanction against North Korea's missile test, but Russia and China opposed it.
