The prisoners were being held at a detention center in the capital of Riyadh. Officials say if they don't return soon, they will no longer be eligible for amnesty. King Abdullah recently renewed an offer of amnesty to repentant Islamist militants. The Saudi Arabian government said its security forces have arrested 42 people over the past few months who are suspected militants in raids carried out throughout the country.
