Explosion Kills 43 People In Northern China

Beijing, China (AHN) - At least 43 people are killed during an explosion in a villager's home in northern China.

About 28 other people were injured in the blast, which took place in the Dongzhai village in Shanxi province.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion, which went off at 6:30 a.m. on Friday.

Shanxi is a major coal-producing region. Fatal accidents are common there due to improperly stored explosives.
