Gunman Opens Fire On Busy Argentina Street, Killing One
Yvonne Lee - All Headline News Staff Reporter Buenos Aires, Argentina (AHN) - One person is killed and six others wounded when a gunman opens fire on a crowded street in Argentina. Police Chief Ricardo Torres says authorities do not know what motive the man had for the violence in Buenos Aires. He says to The Associated Press, "Witnesses said the man came walking up and then suddenly opened fire, just like that." An 18-year-old man died from his wounds. Five other men and a 14-year-old girl were injured by bullets. Alberto Crecenti, director of emergency services in the capital city, says her injuries are not life-threatening. Authorities searched for the suspect in the affluent Belgrano district, but were unsuccessful.
